Twinefold ("we", "us", "the app") is a couples app for daily connection, communication and conflict skills, and sexual intimacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it. It's written to match exactly what the app does — not a generic template.

Your answers to onboarding questions drive your personalized plan and content. One of these questions concerns comfort with sexual intimacy topics. We treat this as sensitive information under data protection law (for example, GDPR Article 9): we ask for your explicit, separately-withdrawable consent before using it, we exclude it from analytics entirely, and it is included in the account export and deletion tools described below.
When you pair with a partner, we store the connection between your two accounts, your relationship stage/anniversary, and your subscription status. Your account data is only ever visible to you and the partner you're paired with — never to other users.
We use a small number of service providers to run the app. Each only receives what it needs to do its job, under its own privacy and security commitments:

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising purposes.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our production database.
Twinefold is not directed at, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Twinefold is a relationship-skills app, not a mental health, crisis, or therapy service. We do not diagnose or treat any condition. If you or your partner are in crisis or unsafe, please contact local emergency services or a crisis line in your country.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR (including access, correction, deletion, and objection to processing) with respect to your personal data, which you can exercise using the controls above or by emailing us. If you are a California resident, you have similar rights under the CCPA/CPRA.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect.
